Dr. Ryan Bonnie is a General Dentist at Pleasant Valley Dental in Vernon
Dr. Bonnie was born and raised in the Okanagan and is thrilled to return home to practice dentistry. He graduated from UBC with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree after earning an honors degree in microbiology from UBC Okanagan.
His interest in dentistry developed through volunteering and shadowing his childhood dentists. It was here that he witnessed the life-changing impact of dentistry, particularly the joy of helping someone regain the ability to smile comfortably and confidently. Additionally, he appreciates the continuity of care, as it allows him to see the same patients regularly over the years.
Dr. Bonnie provides comprehensive dental services but has a particular passion for oral surgery and periodontics, which earned him the Canadian Academy of Periodontology Award of Excellence upon graduation. During his time at UBC, he gained valuable experience treating pediatric patients and visiting long-term care facilities to provide care for geriatric patients. These experiences have him excited to work with families and individuals of all ages!
Outside of the clinic, he enjoys skiing at SilverStar or Big White in winter and in the summer, being at the beach, paddleboarding and travelling.
